Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of CattoBot, including server installs, demo usage, summaries, playful chat features, and owner-only AI tools.

Use of the service

By installing or using CattoBot, you agree to use the service in compliance with Discord's Terms, Discord's Developer Policy, and all applicable laws and platform rules.

Allowed usage

  • Use CattoBot for summaries, conversation assistance, demo evaluation, and owner tools.
  • Keep installs limited to servers where you have authority to add apps.
  • Only use the bot in channels where you are comfortable sending recent message context to third-party AI infrastructure for processing.
  • Use outputs as convenience tools, not as a substitute for professional advice.

Prohibited usage

  • Do not abuse, spam, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass quotas or access controls.
  • Do not use the bot to harass others, violate Discord rules, or process unlawful content.
  • Do not rely on the bot for emergency, medical, legal, or financial decision-making.

Availability and limits

Features, limits, demo quotas, supported commands, and personas may change over time. The service may be suspended, throttled, or modified to protect reliability, cost, and abuse prevention.

AI-generated output

CattoBot uses AI models to generate some outputs. Responses may be incomplete, wrong, out of date, or stylistically opinionated. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

Third-party providers

CattoBot relies on third-party infrastructure, including Discord, hosting providers, and OpenAI-compatible AI or search providers selected by the operator. Use of CattoBot is also subject to the terms and availability of those providers.

No warranty

CattoBot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the operator of this deployment will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of CattoBot, downtime, moderation decisions, or reliance on AI-generated output.

Termination

The operator may restrict or remove access to CattoBot at any time, including for abuse, policy violations, security concerns, or operational reasons.
